Production Role: Production Assistant

My first experience on a professional film set. I will always be grateful for the opportunity, for even though I was extremely novice, I worked hard that day and made a positive impression. To my recollection, the Gaffer and Key Grip took turns snagging me to assist in their respective departments. At the time, I didn’t know what those terms even meant. My positive take-away from this production is trusting in the solid advice of never ‘sitting down’ on set, being agreeable and willing to do whatever is necessary to be helpful.
