Comics
aka Graphic Novels & Graphic
Memoir
I create comics because I am captivated by the interplay between word
and image—a dynamic that brings stories to life in a way that neither medium
can achieve alone. Like Lewis Carroll and T.S. Eliot, I am endlessly fascinated by the
visual impact of words on the page and the rhythm they create as they unfold. If I could
see my entire life represented in a series of woodcuts or even cave paintings, I would die happy.
This, to me, is the power of sequential art. Like any visual form of storytelling, it's about seeing changes through the imaginary expanse of time.
