Brendan Wanderer was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta in 1977. He believes that small communities and self-reflection can change lives, and the world. When he was young, he nearly stepped into the Grand Canyon because he wanted to see what lay beyond the edge. As an adult, he still finds ways to test his environment and to never cease from exploration. He truly lives up to his name, having lived and traveled from coast to coast several times.

 

Brendan is a fourth-year creative writing and visual arts student at Vancouver Island University. He previously attended Nova Scotia Community College, graduating with an Honours Diploma in Screen Arts. His short film Leave Pizza Here was a selection in the 2016 Atlantic Film Festival. He has a deep love of graphic novels and is actively working on writing and illustrating two volumes. Among his many screenplays, his short film script “The Talk” is featured in the 2022 issue of Portal magazine.

 

Today, he lives with his wife and children in Nanaimo, planning their next adventure.
